How to make a funnel out of sheet metal.
Roll the cone template into a cone shape starting at the wide end working toward the pivot point end.
Draw a circle on the sheet metal with a pencil compass.
The tapered end of the cone should have an opening approximately.
Cut out the cone template from your sheet metal using tin snips and file the edges smooth of any burrs of rough sections with your file.
When i started drawing it out in autocad i realized that i could make a half circle with a 12 diameter hemisphere for the bottom and a 22 5 for the top.
Mark an 8 inch circle on a piece of sheet metal.
Cut around the circle with tin snips and smooth the cut edges with sandpaper to remove.
The pencil will make the circle and the slight indentation where the compass has been anchored should be noted.
