How to repair vinyl siding corner trim.

Step 1 slide the vinyl siding removal tool just under the bottom lip of the uppermost piece of vinyl siding and pry gently upwards.
How to patch corner trim.
Add at least 4 inches to that amount.
Vinyl siding is installed from the bottom up so you must loosen it in the opposite direction.
At a home improvement store purchase a patch that matches the damage piece you are looking to remove.
After you get the siding loosened reattach the corner piece.
Measure the length of the damaged area on the corner trim.
Be sure to leave about 1 8 of the nail exposed to allow the siding to flex.
First remove the corner piece then slide the zip tool under the siding and loosen it up.

Step 4 place a full length piece.
Be careful because older siding can become brittle.
You may want to wait for a warm day when the siding will be softer and more pliable.
Once the snap seal releases use gloved fingers to loosen the siding to a distance of 3 feet from the corner.
Step 2 trim the nailing flanges.
Step 1 purchase vinyl siding patch.
Step 3 glue the patch in place.
It ll better match the house than brand new siding.
Pull siding away from house and cut through the bottom edge with aviation snips.
Cut a piece of corner trim to the length you measured in the previous step with a pair of tin snips.
Cut piece of faded siding from an inconspicuous spot to replace the damaged section.
