Locate the replacement valances and trim the gray cord to a length of inch on each end.
How to replace sunsetter awning fabric.
Tuck the ends of the fabric into the channels that you marked and ensure that it is centered.
Insert the new valances into the front bars until they stop at the other end.
Remove the front bar from the fabric and place aside for reuse later in reassembly.
Using the manual crank wand continue to unroll the fabric until you expose the fabric slot in the roller bar.
Insert new awning fabric into channels you marked.
Open the awning and allow the fabric to completely unroll.
Hold the front bar and loosen the left front bar insert with a 5mm allen wrench and pull the insert out of the front bar.
Repeat for the other side of the awning.
Get out your new awning fabric and position it over the front of the roller tube.
Insert the cut end of the cord into the fabric slot on the roller bar and the other end of the fabric into the awning rail.
While keeping the fabric reasonably stretched on the roller bar turn the crank wand counter clockwise to slowly roll the fabric onto the roller bar.
For awnings that have a sunsetter aluminum hood installed remove the hood end plate on the opposite side of the motor or gear assembly.
Be sure that the hem of the fabric is facing down.
